Urgent Appeal to Senior General Than Shwe

Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services
Union of Myanmar

Your Excellency Senior General Than Shwe,
I wish to respectfully inform you that you are solely responsible for all that is currently
happening in Burma. Our people are really suffering.
In this connection, I wish to outline two necessary steps that will bring about positive
results for our country.
They are as follows:
1. Please retire from service Minister U Thaung, Ministry for Science and Technology
and Minister U Aung Thaung, Ministry of No.1 Industry.
2. Please meet and have urgent discussions with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi with the aim of
forming a Coalition Government made up of Sanghas, 88 Generation Students, ethnic
leaders and Defense Services personnel as soon as possible.
This is the best outcome in the interest of the country, the Defense Services and your
family.
I respectfully urge you to please implement the points outlined in this appeal before the
27th September 2007.
